ABOUT ME

Annette Crout was born and raised in a small west Tennessee town and currently resides in Nashville.   Her love of art and everything creative began at an early age enjoying classes in sketching and painting while growing up and throughout college.

 

After a career in the business field she was compelled to use her creativity in her career and returned to college, graduating from O’More College of Design, and spent more than 25 years in clothing, footwear and graphic design.  She created designs for fashion boot companies and managed their development process.  This included travels internationally to explore the latest fashion trends and oversee production.

 

Enjoying her career but wanting to take her creativity to the next level, Annette returned to her love of painting after retirement from her full-time career in design.  In late 2015 she started on a new path.

 

“I describe myself as an eclectic artist because I love exploring new ways of expression through art. My art is inspired by nature and spirituality as you can see from my paintings and my wood creations.  I believe part of an artist’s soul not only goes into creating a piece of art, but travels with the piece to its new home as well.”

 

“I want my art to illicit a meaningful emotion and connection through the subject matter, colors and texture.”

 

In addition to her art Annette currently works as Mission Coordinator with her husband, at First Presbyterian Church, and commits to donate a portion of the proceeds to charitable organizations that they are involved with.
